Humanitarian Project – The Big Sleep Out, New Zealand

Hi everyone, This month of July a group of people are taking part in the Big Sleep out on the 2nd of July 2015 in Auckland and Rotorua New Zealand. It is a Project that helps raise funds for the homeless people who are currently living rough on the streets of the cities of Auckland and Rotorua within New Zealand. The idea of the sleep out is so that those taking part can experience what it is like to be homeless and spend one night sleeping in a quad like area on pieces of cardboard for the whole night. Now I unfortunately cannot take part in this, but you definitely can. But if you cannot get Involved then you can head into Merge Cafe, located at 453 Karangahape Road, Auckland Central and ask to buy a $20 meal card for the homeless. Alternatively, you can purchase a meal card for the homeless via the Grab one website and a Lifewise staff member will go out on the streets in Auckland City, NZ to find a homeless person in need to give the meal card to. The meal card includes 5 free healthy meals for the homeless. But be Quick because this deal will end on the 1st July 2015 – NZ Time.
